Status

This species flies during a single spring flight each year and has not been recorded from Maryland, but it could be found in or near Garrett County, where its host plants occur. Its sister species, Four-spotted Gluphisia Moth, another northern species running down the Appalachians to reach Maryland, feeds on some of the same host plants there.

Relationships

Larval host plants are Quaking Aspen and possibly Bigtooth Aspen (Miller et al., 2018).

Gluphisia lintneri, the Lintner's gluphisia moth or Lintner's pebble, is a species of moth in the family Notodontidae (the prominents).[1][2][3][4] It was first described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1877 and it is found in North America.[1]

The MONA or Hodges number for Gluphisia lintneri is 7934.[5]
