Status

The caterpillar of this undescribed moth species creates a linear mine in and cuts out an oval pupal case from bayberry leaves (Eiseman, 2021: 1276). Mines of this species have been found in Washington, DC and Pennsylvania and should be looked for on its host plants in Maryland.

Relationships

Larval host plants include Wax Myrtle and Southern Bayberry (Eiseman, 2021).
