Status
Stereum lobatum is part of the Stereum ostrea complex. Recent studies have suggested that Stereum ostrea may not occur in North America (e.g., Delong-Duhon & Bagley, 2020, unpublished).
Description
Generally similar to Stereum lobatum. The body stains yellow when bruised. S. subtomentosum has straight hairs on the upper surface.
