A relative of Diogmites, this species, according to Bromley, prefers mixed woodlands or brush, where it perches on sunlit leaves near edges or open areas (Baker & Fischer, 1975). Its specific epithet refers to the four pairs of silvery spots on the sides of the abdomen.
