Status
This large, dark Diogmites is somewhat similar to basalis. It apparently occurs in dry, grassy fields, and brushy edge habitats. This species also has the distinction of being the only sexually dimorphic species in Diogmites. Males have a blackish abdomen, while females are paler in color (Artigas, 1966).
