Status

In Maryland, Cut-leaved Toothwort is a common spring wildflower in rich woodlands of the western shore. Cut-leaved Toothwort is uncommon on the Eastern Shore (lack of rich woods), and absent from the lower shore.

Description

Cut-leaved Toothwort closely resembles Slender Toothwort and Broad-leaved Toothwort. Cut-leaved Toothwort can be differentiated from these two species by lacking basal leaves while the plant is in flower.
