Description

Partridgeberry is an evergreen creeping vine with roundish leaves approximately 1-2 cm long that have a characteristic white midvein.

Relationships

The brilliant scarlet berries are a winter food source for bobwhite, fox, raccoon and deer. These fleshy fruits are also edible for humans, although don’t look for them at your produce stand anytime soon as they are tasteless.
