Description

The broad black middorsal stripe bordered by silver "shoulders" is distinctive in our mosquito fauna. The closely related Ochlerotatus hendersoni has a similar thoracic patterning, but the middorsal stripe is much thinner on the front half of the scutum. (J. Emm, pers. comm.)
