Description

Fruit stalk similar to Jack in the Pulpit, but more elongated. Leaves disappear after flowering in the spring, and new leaves emerge in the fall (and then overwinter), as in Cranefly Orchid and Puttyroot (J. Hill, pers. comm.).

Where To Find

Cabin John Regional Park, Bannockburn Creek (Bethesda), and Rock Creek park in Montgomery Co., Maryland.
