Status

This northern species reaches its southern range limit in western Maryland. It was only added to the state list in 2020.

Dorocordulia libera is a metallic green, slender dragonfly with brown hair, black legs, and clear wings.[2]

Distribution

Dorocodulia libera is commonly found in the Northeastern United States and southeastern Canada, often in shallow bogs, ponds, streams, and other wetlands.[2]
